Music - Satan's Method of Mind Control

Jimmy Hendrix' girlfriend, Fayne Pridgon, said about him: “He used to always talk about some devil or something was in him, you know. He didn’t know what made him act the way he acted and what made him say the things he said, and the songs and different things like that … just came out of him. It seems to me he was so tormented and just torn apart and like he really was obsessed, you know, with something really evil.”

Jimmy Hendrix own admission said, "I can explain everything better through music. YOU HYPNOTIZE PEOPLE... And when you get people at their weakest point you can preach into the subconscious what we want to say.  That's why the name "electric church' flashes in and out."

The Bible talks about how important it is to guard our minds.  Over in Proverbs 4:23, we read:  “More than anything you guard, protect your mind, for life flows from it.” 

In the New Testament, Jesus used the illustration of a person’s eye to signify the mind.

“The eye is the lamp of the body. So, if your eye is healthy, your whole body will be full of light, ²³ but if your eye is bad, your whole body will be full of darkness. If then the light in you is darkness, how great is the darkness! (Matt. 6:22-23).  

A clear eye allows light to enter the body.  An eye that isn’t clear allows darkness to penetrate.  When God gave to the apostle Paul his mission to the nations, He told him that he would be used “to open their eyes so that they may turn from darkness to light, and from the dominion of Satan to God” (Acts 26:18).  Notice the contrasts:  Darkness / Satan and Light / God. 

When Satan uses various mediums of the world, one biggie he uses is music.  We need to be careful what we listen to and how we listen to it.  

Before a harmful dark message cloaked in music enters our life, it must pass through our mind (eye). If the music is dark with a wrong message, it will affect a person’s life.  When darkness flows in, who knows what also comes with it!

In many cases, the darkness brings with it a demonic spirit. And the manifestation of a demonic spirit that enters a person’s life through the dark side of bad music will not be evident until months or years down the road. By then, the demon has already built a stronghold in a person’s life which can only be removed when it is detected by the light and removed by the blood of Jesus.

 Carlos Santana has his own personal demon-god named, “Metatron.” In Rolling Stone magazine, the following was written: “Metatron is an angel. Santana has been in regular contact with him since 1994. Carlos will sit here facing the wall, the candles lit. He has a yellow legal pad at one side, ready for the communications that will come. 'It's kind of like a fax machine.’"

“I really wish I knew why I’ve done some of the things I’ve done over the years. I don’t know if I’m a medium for some outside source. Whatever it is, frankly, I hope it’s not what I think it is—Satan” (Ozzy Osbourne).

Led Zeppelin (From the song Houses of the Holy): "Let the music be your master, won't you heed the masters call? Oh Satan"

“The music to ‘Yesterday’ came in a dream. The tune just came complete. You have to believe in magic. I can’t read or write music” (Paul McCartney).

Demons wants to take over your mind. They first take over the agent (song writers and singers).  Then they take over the medium (music).  Then they take over those who open up their minds willingly to receive the message of the music (the listeners).  This is how the devil, through music, can control masses of people, especially those in high schools and colleges – tomorrow’s leaders.

Of course, music can be used in a good way by those whose "eye" is clear and full of light. But there is a lot of bad music out there and too many are so willing to sell their soul to the devil for a small price of fame and fortune. 

Be careful what kind of music you listen to and who it is that you listen to!
